Cool, calm and bright, perfect conditions for running at the Beacon Half Marathon in Brighton yesterday.
17 Mid Sussex Tri Club athletes took part in the event, which has got to be a record turnout? and everyone put in a great performance. James Dear was the first club member home with a splendid time of 1:22:23 closely followed by Mike with a stonking run of 1:22:45, which in my book gets performance of the day! Margaret had a brilliant run with a pb of 1:35:54 and Rachel Baker knocked about 10 mins off her pb with 1:48:59.
Good to see Andy Heath and David Lashbrook back in action and newcomers Lucy Williams and the numberless Chris Durrant both had good races.
Here are the club results:
52 James Dear 1:22:23 52
56 Mike McLoughlin 1:22:45
289 Steve Alden 1:31:26
303 Robert Hoodless 1:31:51
435 Jon Webster 1:34:22
